Version 2.7 · 23 October 2026
The NoonFrame app works on your computer: your videos, projects, subtitles and audio stay there and we don't upload them anywhere. Web clips (noonframe.com/clip) work differently, because our server processes the video: they are explained below. Here is what data we handle and why.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Emanuele Saurro, Via delle Dalie 5, 20089 Rozzano (MI), Italy. For any privacy question write to business@noonframe.com.
Your account
To use NoonFrame you sign in with Google. From Google we only receive your email address, your name and the address of your profile picture: never your password and nothing else from your Google account.
In your NoonFrame profile we also store:
- the username and name you choose, and your photo if you upload one (resized to 256×256);
- a random 8-digit NoonFrame ID that identifies your account;
- the date you joined and your last sign-in.
For now only we can see your profile. If in the future other people can see your username or photo, we will say so here and in the app before turning it on.
Devices and app usage
- Devices: for each computer you sign in from we store the operating system, processor type, NoonFrame version, app language, whether there is an NVIDIA graphics card, and the date of the first and last sign-in.
- Feature usage: we record which tools you use (for example "export finished in 40 seconds" or "title added"). Only action names, outcomes and durations: never your videos, texts, subtitles or file names.
We need them to run your account, protect it from abuse (for example suspending an account that breaks the terms) and understand what to improve.
What stays on your computer
- Projects, previews and exported videos, in the VODcut folder inside your user folder.
- Transcription and subtitles: created by an AI model that runs on your computer.
- Background removal from images: also done on your computer.
- Your account session, so you stay signed in without internet. On Windows it is encrypted with your computer user; on Mac it is in a file only your user can read.
- A log file, used only to understand errors. It is sent only if you attach it to a report.
Reports you send us
With "Report a problem" or "Request a change" you can send us a message. It is sent only when you press Send, it is linked to your account and contains:
- the text you write and, if you enter it, a contact so we can reply;
- the screenshots you add;
- technical information: NoonFrame version, operating system, processor, graphics card, app language, the screen you were on and the latest errors;
- only if you leave the box ticked: the app log and the open project, without the words of the subtitles.
We remove your computer user name from the log and file paths before sending. Only we read them, to fix problems and decide new features.
Where the data is and how it is protected
Account, profile, devices, feature usage and reports are stored in a Supabase database (Supabase Inc.) on servers in the European Union, in Frankfurt. The connection is always encrypted.
The database is locked down: each account can only read its own data, and the app can only write through controlled functions. No other user can see your data.
Supabase and Google are companies based in the United States: where needed, they process data under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
When NoonFrame uses the internet
Besides your account, your computer contacts these services directly. They see your IP address as with any download and apply their own privacy rules. NoonFrame never sends them your videos.
- Updates: at every start NoonFrame checks GitHub for a new version and downloads it. It only sends the file request.
- Subtitles: the first time, it downloads the transcription model from Hugging Face.
- NVIDIA graphics (Windows only): if your computer has one, NoonFrame downloads the acceleration components from PyPI once.
- Background removal: the first time, it downloads the tool from PyPI and its model.
- Stream links: if you paste a Twitch, Kick or YouTube link, NoonFrame downloads that video from the platform.
AI Stories with your own keys
If you use AI Stories, you connect your own AI service accounts (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, ElevenLabs or fal.ai) with your keys. The keys stay only on your computer: encrypted with your user on Windows, in the Keychain on Mac. We never receive them.
Topics, scripts, scene descriptions, character reference photos and texts to read go from your computer directly to the service you chose, with your account: that service handles them under its own rules and the costs are yours. NoonFrame does not receive or store them.
Generated images, voices, video clips and stories stay on your computer, in the VODcut folder. In feature usage we only record the name of the service used and how many images or voices were created, never the content.
In Formats you can analyze reference videos: transcription, shots and frames are processed on your computer and stay there. If you connect TikTok to download videos from links, you sign in on TikTok's official page (only TikTok sees your password); the session stays only on your computer, encrypted, and you can disconnect it at any time. NoonFrame never receives it.
Web clips (noonframe.com/clip)
When you paste the link of a public YouTube, Twitch or Kick video on the clips page, the video does not come from your device: our server downloads it directly from the platform. Here is what happens to the data:
- The job: we store the link, the video title and length, the settings you choose (subtitle style, title, written request), the credits used and the list of clips found, linked to your account. They stay in your history as long as the account exists.
- The video: it is downloaded and processed by a server run by Modal Labs Inc. (United States), our provider. There the video is transcribed by a model running on our server, and the clips are cut and edited. The full video is not kept: it is deleted when the job ends, except for a working copy we keep for up to 3 days only so you can edit the clips.
- Picking the moments: to find the best moments we send Anthropic (United States) the transcript text with timestamps, not the video or your contact details. Anthropic processes it as our provider and does not use it to train its models.
- The clips: they are stored in a private space on Supabase (European Union), visible only to you through temporary links that expire after one hour. They are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- The notification email: when your clips are ready we email you through Resend, which only receives your address and the message text.
- Abuse protection: to limit bots and excessive requests we use a code derived from your IP address with a one-way function; we never store your real IP address.
Legal basis: performing the service you ask for. Modal, Anthropic, Supabase and Resend process the data as our processors, under contracts that bind them to use it only for us and, for transfers outside the EU, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
AI features with credits
When you use an AI feature with NoonFrame credits in the app (for example images, voices or text), the request goes through our server on Supabase, which checks and deducts the credits, and then reaches the provider that does the work: Anthropic for text, fal.ai for images and video, ElevenLabs for voices. We only send what that feature needs (the request text, any reference images you choose), never your full videos. We record how many requests you make and how many credits they use, not the content.
Emails we send you
Besides service emails (clips ready, receipts, replies to your reports), we may occasionally write to your account address about NoonFrame news and offers, based on our legitimate interest towards people who use the service. Every email has a one-click link to stop receiving them, and you can also write to us: from then on we send you no more promotional emails.
Publishing to social networks
If you choose to, you can connect your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts to NoonFrame to publish or schedule clips directly from the app or the clips page. Connecting is optional and only you start it, from the platform's official sign-in page, where you see which permissions you grant.
- What we receive: an access code (token) the platform issues to us on your behalf, its refresh token and expiry, the account ID, the username and the profile picture. We never receive your password.
- What we do with it: we use the token only to upload and publish the clips you choose, with the title, description, privacy and other settings you pick on the publishing screen, and to check whether publishing succeeded. We never publish anything without an action from you, we don't read your messages, followers or other content, and we don't use this data for advertising.
- Scheduled posts: we store the clip, the text and the chosen time until the post is published or cancelled; afterwards we only keep the result and the post link in your history.
- Where it is: tokens are stored encrypted in our Supabase database (European Union), and the video is sent directly to the platform's servers (TikTok, Meta or Google), which process it under their own privacy rules.
- Disconnecting: you can disconnect an account at any time from the app; we then delete the token. You can also revoke access from the platform's settings. If you delete your NoonFrame account we delete all connections.
NoonFrame's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Legal basis: performing the service you ask for.
Payments
When you buy a plan or a top-up, you pay on Stripe's secure page (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland), which processes your card details as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We only receive and keep what we need to give you the credits and keep our accounts: account email, what you bought, amount, date and payment codes. We keep this data for 10 years, as required by tax law.
Minimum age
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent's permission to buy plans or top-ups. If we find an account belonging to someone under 14, we delete it.
Legal basis and how long we keep data
- Account, profile and devices: needed to provide the app (performance of a contract). Kept as long as the account exists.
- Feature usage: our legitimate interest in improving NoonFrame and protecting it from abuse. Kept for up to 24 months.
- Reports: your consent, given by pressing Send. Kept for up to 24 months.
Deleting your account
On your profile page, "Delete account" immediately and permanently deletes your account, profile, photo, devices, feature usage and reports. Projects and videos on your computer stay.
The email link from the website
If you visit the website on your phone you can ask us to email you the link to download NoonFrame on your computer. We record:
- the email address, the page language, where you came from (for example the name of the social network) and whether you also asked for news;
- an anonymous code derived from your IP address, used only to block anyone sending too many requests: we don't store the real IP address.
To send the email we use a specialised service (Resend), which only receives the address and the text of the email.
- Link only: we send it because you asked for it. We delete the address after 90 days.
- News (only if you tick the box): your consent. At most one email a month; every email lets you stop receiving them, and you can also write to us. We keep the address until you withdraw your consent.
This website
- It uses no cookies, advertising or third-party tracking tools.
- We count visits anonymously with our own system: page viewed, which site you came from (only the site name, e.g. tiktok.com), the campaign name if the link has one, language, device type, operating system and browser, and whether you press Download or reach pricing and download. We don't store your IP address: we only use it to compute, on the spot, an anonymous code that changes every day, so a visit is counted once but the same person can't be followed over time. We keep these counts for at most 13 months. If your browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), we don't count you.
- Fonts are served from our own server: the site doesn't contact Google or other font services.
- The installers are hosted on GitHub: when you press Download, the file comes from there.
- The number of updates is read from GitHub when you open the page.
- The service hosting the site may log, for technical and security reasons, data such as IP address, date and requested page.
What we don't do
- No uploading of the videos you edit in the app: they stay on your computer. With web clips our server downloads the video from the platform, only to create the clips, as explained above.
- No advertising and no selling of data.
- No tracking outside the app and no sharing of your data with other users.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct, export or delete your data, to restrict its use or to object, by writing to business@noonframe.com. If you think your data is handled unfairly you can complain to your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
Deleting everything from your computer
On Windows uninstall NoonFrame from Settings > Apps: at the end it asks whether to delete projects and videos too. On Mac drag NoonFrame to the Trash and delete the VODcut folder in your Home folder.
Changes
If we change this notice we update the date at the top. Important changes are also written in the app's update notes.
